The MoU was exchanged between Young India Skills University (YISU) vice-chancellor Subbarao and ITE deputy director Fabian Cheong. This collaboration will enable ITE to extend its expertise in skill training, ranging from basic technical education for 10th-grade students to advanced training for graduates, as well as individuals of any age with an interest in improving their skills.
ITE, operating under the motto “Skills for the Future, Skills for Life,” currently trains over 28,000 individuals through 100 full-time courses available both online and on-campus. With partnerships spanning 5,000 industries, ITE provides targeted, job-oriented training programs tailored to the workforce requirements of these industries. The same ethos will now be adopted by Telangana’s Young India Skills University (yisu.in), which aims to deliver industry-relevant training and job opportunities.
A significant outcome of this partnership is the ‘Training for Trainers’ initiative, where YISU trainers will receive advanced training from ITE experts. Additionally, the MoU enables YISU to integrate ITE’s globally acclaimed curriculum into its programs, ensuring that students and trainees benefit from world-class educational standards.
This collaboration marks a milestone in Telangana’s journey to build a robust skill development ecosystem, foster global employability, and drive economic growth through a skilled workforce, Mr. Sridhar Babu said.
