As the political battle in Maharashtra intensifies ahead of the BMC elections, both factions of the ShivSena let it all out during their Dussehra rallies in Mumbai on Wednesday. It was also a fight for the legacy of the party itself, and the crowds present at both the rallies, which were held six km apart, were seen as a ‘show of strength’ by both the factions. Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena faction on Wednesday admitted that more people attended chief minister Eknath Shinde’s Dussehra rally. However, more than 50% of them left Shinde’s rally the moment he began reading his speech, it said.
