Former Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray hit out at Shiv Sena MLAs who rebelled against the Uddhav Thackeray-led party to join Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde’s camp. “No other time in India or in no other state in India have we seen 40 traitors hop over across the floor, go to a party and sit with them without elections,” he said. The Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA said that he has challenged this “unconstitutional CM” to resign from his seat. “I will resign from my seat and we can contest from Worli itself … that’s a simple challenge, if he has the guts to face elections, he should [quit],” he said. He added that ideally, the 40 MLAs who jumped ship should also resign and contest the elections again.
