The private equity firm sold shares through two of its entities — Partners Group ESCL and Partners Group Private Equity (Master Fund) LLC — bulk deals data on the National Stock Exchange showed.
Partners Group ESCL sold 28,89,373 shares or 3.6% stake in the company for Rs 396 crore, at Rs 1,370 apiece. It held an 11.2% stake in Aavas Financiers as of December end.
Meanwhile, Partners Group Private Equity (Master Fund) LLC sold 12,67,999 shares or 1.6% stake at Rs 1,370.2 a share for Rs 174 crore. It held a 4.92% stake in the company as of December end.
On Tuesday, shares of Aavas Financiers ended 5% down on the BSE at Rs 1,358.80.
Through separate deals, SBI Mutual Fund acquired 63,00,000 shares of the non-bank finance major for Rs 863 crore, and Amansa Holdings bought 23,59,350 shares for Rs 323 crore. Both are new investors in the company and never held a stake before, the latest shareholding data showed. The stock has been quite an underperformer, having lost more than 25% in the last one year.
