One student steals the spotlight during show-and-tell at ‘Abbott Elementary’.
On the episode following the 2024 Oscars, Khalil surprises his class by bringing in a famous person he encountered outside of school.
Bradley Cooper’s unexpected entrance leaves the class in awe, and Melissa Schemmenti can barely contain her excitement. Khalil chose Cooper for show-and-tell because everyone wanted a picture with him, assuming he must be famous.

Cooper shares that he dropped by because, whenever he’s in Philly, he makes a stop at the deli across the street. Cooper, a Philadelphia native, reminisces about the deli, known for the best hoagies in the city, a sentiment passed down by his father.
During the playful interaction, students inquire if Cooper is in ‘Spider-Man’, to which he clarifies he wasn’t in that Marvel movie but in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’. However, the class remains sceptical until Cooper impersonates his iconic character, Rocket Racoon. Melissa recognizes him from Alias and corrects his claim of being the face of the show.
As other teachers join in, banter ensues about Cooper’s filmography, with mentions of ‘He’s Just That Into You’, ‘Wet Hot American Summer’, ‘The Holdovers’ (corrected to ‘The Hangover’) and ‘Maestro’ (mistakenly referred to as Oppenheimer).
Despite the confusion, Cooper agrees to take a group photo before heading out. Janine expresses her excitement to share the news with everyone in the district, leading Cooper to comment on the underfunding of schools.
