New Delhi, May 27 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party expressed dissatisfaction over the non-attendance of Chief Ministers of eight states at the 8th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog. Bharatiya Janata Party Rajya Sabha MP Ravi Shankar Prasad said that by not attending the crucial meeting, these CMs are, in a way, not raising the voice of their people in front of the Centre. “The 8th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog is going on. CMs of eight states aren’t attending. CMs of Delhi, Telangana, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Bihar and Punjab aren’t coming. NITI Aayog is crucial for the nation’s development and planning. The Opposition parties accuse BJP of not respecting the national agencies. Many of these Opposition parties have voiced against the EC, Supreme Court. 100 issues are proposed to be debated in this meeting today. If CMs of so many states won’t attend then won’t it affect their states? They are not bringing the voice of their state’s people. Shouldn’t they be benefitted? To what extent will these people go in the name of opposing PM Modi?” said Ravi Shankar Prasad in a presser.
