P & G Hygiene(down 4.52%), ADF Foods(down 3.20%), Prataap Snacks(down 2.65%), Britannia Industries(down 2.30%), Marico(down 2.23%), Umang Dairies(down 1.69%), Tasty Bite Eatables(down 1.52%), DFM Foods(down 1.42%), Zydus Wellness(down 1.14%) and Dangee Dums(down 0.98%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 15.5 points up at 17397.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 89.13 points at 58387.93.
UltraTech Cement(up 2.84%), Shree Cement(up 2.66%), ICICI Bank(up 2.19%), UPL Ltd(up 1.6%), Bharti Airtel(up 1.35%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.29%), Grasim Industries(up 1.2%), Infosys(up 1.05%), Wipro(up 1.03%) and Axis Bank(up 0.96%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Hindalco Industries(down 2.58%), Britannia Industries(down 2.3%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 2.05%), Eicher Motors(down 1.79%), Reliance Industries(down 1.47%), Maruti Suzuki(down 1.4%), IndusInd Bank(down 1.32%), Hero MotoCorp(down 1.29%), Cipla(down 0.99%) and SBI Life(down 0.95%) closed in the red.
