Alaska Mileage Plan New Award Chart
Alaska Airlines said in September that award chart changes would be coming in late December. The airline promised a simplified award chart to show you where award levels start based on which regions you’re traveling from and to.
The changes are now live, with just a few days left in the year, and the new award charts have been simplified. Probably a bit too much.
The new charts have less information than before, but redemption values seem to have remained the same as before in most cases.

Guru’s Wrap-up
Alaska Airlines previously had separate award charts for each partner. With the latest changes, there’s now just one international award chart for travel between regions. You don’t see which airlines service a specific route, or which ones have the cheapest fares.
Additionally the new award chart page only lists award rates for flights originating in the U.S. or Canada. For anything else, Alaska tells customers to search for desired destination and dates to view pricing.
Other things worth noting are that the prices listed are “the estimated minimum award prices on one or more of our partner airlines”. That means that prices could be higher. The terms also say that no stopovers are permitted within an international award region.
