Disney+ Bundle Price Hike
Disney started informing customers today that its Disney+ bundle with Hulu and ESPN+ will soon get more expensive.
The price will go up to $24.99 on October 12, 2023. You will be charged the higher price on your next bill after that date.
Many Amex Platinum cardholders have this bundle which currently costs $19.99. That makes it a good use of the $20 monthly entertainment credit. With the price hike, you will have to pay $5 out of pocket going forward if you stay on the same plan.
But there’s a downgrade option. Disney is rolling out a new bundle package today for US subscribers, and it’s an ad-free option. The Duo Premium plan features both Disney+ Premium and Hulu for $20 a month. But you will not have ESPN+.
It is still a good use of your monthly Amex Platinum card credits as Disney+ without ads will cost $14 a month, and ad-free Hulu is increasing to $18 per month.
If you just want Disney+, then you can currently get three months at just $1.99 per month. After that, you’ll be charged the regular price of $7.99 monthly.
