Hilton Diamond status comes with certain on-property benefits. These vary by brand and may include a space-available room upgrade, bonus points, complimentary continental breakfast (non-U.S. only), Daily Food & Beverage Credit (U.S. only), and more. But if you have Diamond status and didn’t requalify, Hilton might grant you a 12-month extension.
This year Hilton has brought back its Diamond status extension offer. Members who meet certain criteria can extend their Diamond status for an additional year beyond when it would have otherwise expired, should they be unable to qualify for any reason.
The top-tier Hilton Honors status is also one of the easiest to achieve compared to other programs. You can get Hilton Diamond status just by having the Amex Hilton Aspire Card, or by spending $40,000 with the Amex Hilton Surpass and Hilton Business cards.
But let’s get back to the details of this status extension offer, and see who qualifies.
The Offer
Members who meet the following criteria are eligible for the Hilton’s Diamond status extension:
- Your Diamond status expires on March 31, 2024.
- Must currently be a Diamond Member that has earned Diamond status for at least 3 years, however, the years do not need to be consecutive
- Must have completed stays totaling at least 250 nights, paid or reward OR have accumulated 500,000 Base Points or more since joining Hilton Honors.
The submission timeframe runs from February through March 28 before a Member’s status is updated on April 1st in accordance with their qualifying activity from the previous year. Please note, this benefit is valid once throughout the lifetime of the Hilton Honors account.
If you want to find out how many years you’ve had Diamond status or the number of nights and base points, call 1-800-4HONORS.
Important Terms
- Qualifying Hilton Honors Members may enact this benefit once throughout the lifetime of their membership.
- The year during which a Hilton Honors member used a status match to achieve Diamond Status will not count as one of the three years of Diamond status required to meet the criteria.
- Once a Member elects to use this one-time offer and the extension is applied to their account, this action is considered final and is not reversible.
- A Diamond Status Extension is granted at the discretion of Hilton Honors Worldwide, LLC and may be ended, or amended with or without notice or compensation, at Hilton Honors’ sole discretion.
