The American Express Platinum Card grants access to American Express Centurion Lounges, including the Las Vegas Centurion Lounge. The annual fee for the Amex Platinum is $695. However, if you travel frequently and value the lounge membership benefits of this card, you’ll more than likely get your money’s worth.
Access to the lounge
The American Express Platinum is the best consumer card for lounge access because it gives you access to the most high-quality lounges. For starters, you’ll have access to Amex’s Centurion Lounges. Although American Express closed its Centurion Lounges during the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic, all Centurion Lounges in the United States are now open. In addition, Amex is planning several new and expanded Centurion Lounges.
However, you can also use the American Express Global Lounge Collection to access other lounges, such as Escape Lounges, Airspace Lounges, Plaza Premium Lounges, and international American Express lounges.
Other advantages of the card
The American Express Platinum Card earns five Membership Rewards points for every dollar spent on airfare booked directly with the airline or through Amex Travel (up to $500,000 per calendar year) and five points for every dollar spent on prepaid hotels booked through Amex Travel. In addition, the Amex Platinum card comes with a slew of other benefits. Among the many advantages are:
• Each calendar year, you will receive a credit of up to $200 to use toward fees on one airline of your choice.
• Up to $200 in Uber Cash per year for services in the United States.
• Up to $100 in annual Saks Fifth Avenue credits.
• Gold elite status with Marriott and Hilton.
Enrollment is required for the above-mentioned benefits.
Credit Card Capital One Venture X Rewards
The Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card is the newest addition to the premium rewards card market, but it has a lower annual fee of $395. Its debut coincides with the debut of the first Capital One lounge in Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), which reinvents the airport lounge by offering chef-inspired food and drink options, Peloton bikes, nap pods, and more.
Access to the lounge
Cardholders can bring up to two guests into the Capital One lounges (two more locations are set to open in Denver and Washington-Dulles in 2022). Each additional guest will cost $45 each.
While the Capital One lounge network isn’t yet extensive, you’ll have access to over 1,300 Priority Pass lounges for you and up to two guests. The ability to add up to four authorised users for no additional annual fee is perhaps the best feature of the card. This is an excellent strategy for families, as each authorised user can gain access to their own Capital One and Priority Pass lounges and bring up to two guests. If you fully utilise this benefit, you and up to 14 guests can enter the lounges using a single card.
Other advantages of the card
The advantages do not end with lounge access. Cardholders will also receive up to $300 in travel credits for bookings made through the Capital One portal, a 10,000-mile bonus upon card renewal each cardmember anniversary, a Global Entry/TSA Precheck statement credit, travel and purchase protections, and other benefits. The Business Platinum card offers slightly different benefits than the Personal Platinum card, but both cards have the same $695 annual fee (see rates and fees). However, it is a compelling option for business travellers who can take advantage of the credits and perks it offers.
American Express business platinum card
The Business Platinum card offers slightly different benefits than the Personal Platinum card, but both cards have the same $695 annual fee (see rates and fees). However, it is a compelling option for business travellers who can take advantage of the credits and perks it offers.
Access to the lounge
The American Express Business Platinum is the best all-around business credit card for lounge access. The Business Platinum, like the personal Amex Platinum, provides access to Amex’s Centurion Lounges as well as Delta Sky Clubs on same-day Delta flights. You’ll also receive a Priority Pass Select membership for two people. Enrollment is required for certain benefits.
Business Platinum cardmembers have access to the entire American Express Global Lounge Collection. The same restrictions that apply to Centurion lounge access — admittance only within three hours of departure, no access upon arrival, and only two free guests — apply to Business Platinum.
Other advantages of the card
Many of the same benefits apply to the Business Platinum Card as they do to the Personal Platinum Card. However, there are some distinctions. The Business Platinum Card earns five Membership Rewards points for every dollar spent on Amex Travel flights and prepaid hotels. You’ll also earn 1.5x points on eligible purchases in select business categories and eligible purchases of $5,000 or more per calendar year, up to a total of $2 million.
Each calendar year, you’ll receive an annual airline-fee credit of up to $200 on one airline of your choice, Gold Elite status with Marriott, Gold status with Hilton, and up to $400 in annual Dell credits (for U.S. purchases). In addition, when you use Pay with Points to book a first- or business-class flight through Amex Travel, you’ll receive a 35% rebate (up to 1 million points back per calendar year). This discount is also applicable to any flight class on the airline that you chose for your airline fee credit.
Chase Sapphire Reserve
Being a Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholder entitles you to a Priority Pass Select membership, which allows you access to this Punta Cana lounge.
The Chase Sapphire Reserve is without a doubt the best travel credit card for Priority Pass lounge access. To be sure, the card had competitors in this category in the past. However, the Citi Prestige® Card is no longer as appealing as other premium travel cards. And when American Express stopped offering Priority Pass restaurant access, they fell behind.
The information on this page about the card has not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.
Access to the lounge
Priority Pass Select membership includes access to airport lounges, restaurants, cafes, and markets that participate in the Priority Pass Select network for Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders. Priority Pass Select memberships are issued to both primary cardholders and authorised users. You will, however, need to sign up for Priority Pass before you can gain access. You can also bring up to two guests into each lounge once you’ve registered.
Many Priority Pass airport lounges have reopened, but others remain closed. Check the lounge’s page on the Priority Pass website to see if a specific lounge has reopened.
Other advantages of the card
The Chase Sapphire Reserve earns 10x points on hotel, car rental, and Chase Dining purchases made through the Ultimate Rewards portal, 10x points on Lyft purchases (through March 2022), 5x points on flights booked through the Ultimate Rewards, 3x points on all other travel and dining purchases, and 1x point on all other eligible purchases.
The card also comes with a $300 annual travel credit as well as travel protections like trip delay protection and delayed baggage protection.
The Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard
The Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard has an annual fee of $450, but there is no fee for up to ten authorised users. Assume you’re primarily interested in the card to gain access to the Admirals Club. In that case, the annual fee is less than the cost of purchasing or renewing an individual Admirals Club membership.
Access to the lounge
The primary cardholder receives an Admirals Club membership with the AAdvantage Executive Card. Access to American Airlines Admirals Club lounges and other lounges with which American Airlines has reciprocal access is included with Admirals Club membership. Authorized users, on the other hand, can only access the Admirals Club lounges at American.
The primary cardholder and each authorised user may bring two additional guests or immediate family members into the lounge. However, for same-day travel on any departing or arriving flight marketed or operated by American Airlines, marketed or operated by any Oneworld carrier, or marketed and operated by Alaska Airlines, you must present a boarding pass.
It should be noted that only a few American Airlines lounges have reopened. On American Airlines’ website, you can find a current list of open lounges. As travel returns, here are three reasons why this is the best card for Admirals Club lounge access.
Other advantages of the card
With the AAdvantage Executive Card, you’ll earn 2 miles for every dollar spent on eligible American Airlines purchases and 1 mile for every dollar spent on everything else. In addition, on domestic American Airlines itineraries for you and up to eight companions travelling on the same reservation, you will receive Group 4 priority boarding and your first checked bag is free.
United Club Infinite Card
As an added bonus, the United Club Infinite Card includes United Club membership. As a result, for frequent United flyers, this card may make sense.
Access to the lounge
The primary cardholder receives United Club membership with the United Club Infinite Card. This membership entitles the primary cardholder to access United Club locations as well as a same-day boarding pass for travel on United, a Star Alliance partner, or a contracted partner. As guests, United Club members may bring two adults or one adult and dependent children under the age of 21.
However, not all United Club locations have reopened. Check the list on United’s website to see which lounges are currently open.
Other advantages of the card
Aside from lounge access when flying with United, the United Club Infinite Card offers a variety of other benefits. For example, you’ll earn 4 miles for every dollar spent on United purchases, 2 miles for every dollar spent on travel and dining, and 1 mile for every dollar spent on everything else. In addition, when you use your card to purchase tickets on United-operated flights, you and one companion will receive free first and second checked bags. In addition, you’ll receive a statement credit of up to $100 every four years to reimburse the application fee for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck.
Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card
The annual fee for the Delta SkyMiles Reserve American Express Card is $550. However, one of the card’s benefits is Delta Sky Club access, which may be worth the annual fee if you frequently fly with Delta.
Access to the lounge
Delta Reserve cardholders have free access to Delta Sky Clubs when travelling on a Delta-operated or Delta-marketed flight on the same day. Not all Delta Sky Club locations, however, have reopened. Delta’s website has a list of all open Sky Club locations.
Delta Sky Clubs are also available when travelling on a Delta partner flight that is not marketed or operated by Delta. However, in this case, you will be charged $39 per visit. For $39 per person per visit, you can bring up to two guests, or a partner and children under the age of 21. Reserve cardholders, on the other hand, receive two one-time guest passes per year for complimentary guest access to the Delta Sky Club.
Delta Reserve cardholders also have access to American Express Centurion Lounges when flying on a Delta-marketed or Delta-operated flight paid for with an American Express card issued in the United States. However, you will only be able to use the lounge up to three hours before your flight or during connections. You may bring up to two guests, but each will be charged $50.
Other advantages of the card
The Delta Reserve Card earns 3 miles for every dollar spent with Delta and 1 mile for every dollar spent on all other eligible purchases.
When flying with Delta, you and up to eight companions on the same reservation will receive your first checked bag free and Main Cabin 1 priority boarding. When you renew your card, you’ll also receive a domestic first class, Comfort+, or Main Cabin round-trip companion certificate.
This card also makes elite status more attainable. You will receive a Medallion Qualification Dollar waiver for Platinum, Gold, and Silver Medallion status if you spend $25,000 on your card in a calendar year. To achieve Diamond Medallion status, you must spend $250,000 on the card.
Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business American Express Card
One of the benefits of the Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business American Express Card is access to the Delta Sky Club. As a result, the Delta Reserve Business Amex can be beneficial for frequent Delta flyers.
Access to the lounge
Delta Reserve for Business cardholders, like personal Delta Reserve credit cardholders, have complimentary access to Delta Sky Clubs when travelling on a same-day Delta-marketed or Delta-operated flight. You can also gain access if you are flying on a Delta partner flight that is not operated or marketed by Delta, but you must pay $39 per visit. Each account year, you are entitled to two complimentary one-time guest passes. Other guests, however, will be charged $39 per person per visit. When paying the fare with a U.S.-issued American Express card, cardholders also gain access to Centurion Lounges when travelling on a same-day Delta-marketed or Delta-operated flight. You can use the lounge up to three hours before your flight or during your connection. You can also bring up to two guests for $50 per person per location.
Other advantages of the card
Delta Reserve for Business members earn 3 Delta miles for every dollar spent directly with Delta and 1 mile for every dollar spent on all other eligible purchases. After spending $150,000 in a calendar year, you’ll earn 1.5 miles per dollar spent on all purchases.
When flying with Delta, you’ll get a first free checked bag for you and up to eight companions on the same reservation, as well as Main Cabin 1 priority boarding. When you renew your membership, you’ll also receive a round-trip companion certificate for domestic first class, Comfort+, or Main Cabin bookings. You can also spend money to get a Medallion Qualification Dollar waiver.
