Honda has launched the 2023 version of its 125cc family scooter, the Activa 125, renewing its product portfolio in India. The scooter receives subtle changes for 2023 which include revision in its color palette; It is available in five color options as against six paint schemes for the previous model. These shades include Rebel Red Metallic, Heavy Gray Metallic, Pearl Night Star Black, Mid Night Blue Metallic, and Pearl Precious White with Salen Silver Metallic.
In terms of functionality, the 2023 Activa 125 features a modified semi-digital instrument cluster that displays additional information, including an odometer, clock, ECO indicator, and service due indicator. The top-end H-Smart variant is also equipped with a Smart Key system, which was previously introduced for the Activa 6G. The Smart Key allows users to operate the fuel lid, under-seat storage space, and ignition from a distance, and it also enables the inclusion of Smart Find and anti-theft systems.
Furthermore, Honda has updated the engine of the 2023 Activa 125 by including the OBD2 system, which will be mandatory from 1 April 2023. Despite this change, the engine specifications remain unchanged. The scooter runs on a 123.97cc, air-cooled motor that produces a maximum output of 8.18bhp at 6,500rpm and a peak torque of 10.3Nm at 5,000rpm. The hardware package is based on an underbone frame and rides on a 12-10-inch wheel combination that is suspended by telescopic forks and a monoshock. The braking system features a disc-drum combination, while a more affordable drum brake variant is also available.
