You will soon be able to travel to Jaipur from Delhi in just 2 hours via road. At present, it takes roughly around 4 hours to reach Jaipur from Delhi. The upcoming Delhi-Jaipur Expressway which has already reached Rajasthan’s Dausa district will reduce the travel time between the cities to around 2 hours. It will be a part of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, which once completed will be the longest expressway in the country.

The expressway, once completed, the travel time from Delhi to Mumbai will reduce from 24 hours to just 12 hours. The speed limit of the expressway will be 120 KM/hr.

Mumbai-Vadodara Expressway will pass through Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. The main cities it will connect include New Delhi, Faridabad, Ballabgarh, Sohna, Alwar, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Dahod, Godhra, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Virar, and Mumbai.
Mumbai-Vadodara Expressway Specialties
Mumbai-Vadodara Expressway is being prepared for the next 50 years. This road is being built with German technology. This will be the country’s first stretchable road. There will be CCTV cameras every 500 meters on the road. The Expressway is being built on an elevated platform. There will be no speed breaker on the entire expressway. Apart from this, special arrangements have been made to stop the entry of animals. To avoid accidents, they will not be allowed to stop the vehicle anywhere except the resting places.
Mumbai-Vadodara Expressway toll rates
There will be no toll while entering this highway, however, there will be tolls at the exit. The toll will be exacted as per the kilometers traveled. According to media reports, on the Delhi-Vadodara Expressway, the toll will be 0.65 paise per kilometer, which is very less compared to other such roads in the country. On the other hand, INR 1.05 will be charged on minibusses entering the road, INR 2.20 on buses and trucks, INR 3.45 on heavy machineries like JCB, and INR 4.20 on other heavy vehicles.
