Addressing a press conference at his residence in Chandigarh on Thursday, Hooda spoke on several issues including rising unemployment in the state, Agneepath, corruption, Shamlat land, water logging, poor condition of roads in the state.
He showed the mirror to the government about the tricolor campaign being run on the occasion of completion of 75 years of independence.

The Leader of Opposition said that the opposition raised several issues of public interest in the monsoon session of the Assembly and even the MLAs of the ruling party BJP and JJP themselves complained of corruption and problems in the state. “The MLAs of the coalition themselves exposed the development of the government,” he said.
“It is well known to everyone in the state that there have been many scams including liquor, registry, recruitment, paper leak, paddy, cleaning in the present government, but the government only constitutes SIT in the name of investigation but its report never comes out. In the present government, SIT does not mean Special Investigation Team but has become Sitting Investigation on Table,” he said.
Hooda said that the government has proved to be a failure on every front including education and health. “There are no teachers in the schools and there are no doctors in the hospitals. There are 10,000 vacant posts in the health department, but the government does not want to give employment to the youth.
“This is the reason why the state is facing 26.9 percent unemployment according to CMIE data. Haryana’s unemployment rate is also 37% higher than the national average, according to NITI Aayog data,” he stated.
