On the eve of Pakistan’s 75th Independence Day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan needs to get out of the ongoing economic turmoil that it is currently witnessing. In an address to his countrymen, the Pak PM appealed for austerity and prudent spending. Accusing the former Imran Khan-led PTI government of creating the nation’s financial crisis, Sharif said that the nation was experience emotional crisis as well. Political instability as well as depleting foreign reserves has led the country to seek emergency financial assistance from IMF.
