SALEM: Salem-based students achieved this in an international event that was held recently in Bengaluru.
IEEE YESIST 12 – 2022 – an international event was held in Bengaluru on September 10 and 11, this year.
Class 11 students T Akshaya, S Kanishka, S S Priyadarshini and S B Roghitha of Cluny Vidya Niketan senior secondary school, Erumapalayam in Salem district participated.
“All these students participated as a team and achieved third place in the category ‘Junior Einstein track’ for the project of automatic fertilization of plants using mobile applications,” said T K Jiji, principal. She also said that more than 200 students from 10 countries participated in the event.
S Manivasagam – the agricultural officer of the agricultural extension centre had certified this project and he said that this project can be a commercial success if it can be integrated into the currently available micro irrigation system with fertigation tanks that has been installed in the farmer’s field.
