Parineeti Chopra, who is enjoying Amar Singh Chamkila’s success, has opened up about being related to another successful Bollywood actress, her cousin Priyanka Chopra. She was recently asked if being Priyanka’s sister helped her career bloom, to which the Ishaqzaade actress had a stern answer.
During an interview with a leading website, Chopra recalled the difficult phases in her career and denied being graced with “unfair advantages.” “If being related to Priyanka Chopra could’ve helped my career, then I wouldn’t have had any flops in my career,” she noted, adding that she has seen too many “lows” in the last 10 years.
Speaking further, Parineeti addressed the talks around nepotism. She noted that newcomers who are related to people in the industry have to be on their own to prove themselves. She also added that there are comparisons when your family members work in the same industry.
However, on the professional front, Parineeti has garnered praise for her role as Amarjot in Amar Singh Chamkila. She hasn’t announced any other projects yet.
