“Over 27 years ago, I was fortunate to start a partnership with one of the most iconic brands in the world. The days since have been filled with so many amazing moments and memories, if I started naming them, I could go on forever,” said Woods on X (formerly known as Twitter).
Tiger Woods and Nike have ended their 27-year partnership.
The renowned golfer has been with Nike since turning professional at 20, signing his first contract in 1996.
Their relationship included a significant ten-year agreement in 2013.
Woods’ future endorsement plans are unclear, but he hinted at new ventures, suggesting “another chapter” in his career.
“Tiger, you challenged your competition, stereotypes, conventions, the old school way of thinking. You challenged the entire institution of golf. You challenged us. And most of all, yourself. And for that challenge we’re grateful,” Nike said in an Instagram Post.
Woods has been closely associated with Nike since signing his first contract in 1996, a deal then worth $40 million over five years. His relationship with Nike remained strong over the years, highlighted by a significant ten-year agreement in 2013.
While details about Woods’ future endorsement plans remain unclear, he hinted at upcoming ventures, stating on X that “there will certainly be another chapter” in his career.
