While Dr. Lee, vice chair, TAL Apparel, represented the manufacturer seat; Harsh Saini, board director, Global Fashion Agenda, and independent consultant represented the affiliate seat. Amanda Tucker, vice president for responsible sourcing and sustainability, Target, represented the brand/retailer seat.
The SAC announced its newly elected directors, Harsh Saini and Amanda Tucker, and the re-election of Delman Lee.
The coalition praised member engagement during the process and noted a high voter turnout of 62 per cent.
Votes mainly came from affiliate (68 per cent), brand/retailer (58 per cent), and manufacturer (66 per cent) categories, ensuring a quorum.
The SAC hailed the commitment and level of engagement from its members during the election process, recognising a remarkable selection of candidates. Special appreciation was directed towards those members who participated in significant numbers to vote for their preferred candidates, the SAC Board Governance and Nominations Committee comprising Vidhura Ralapanawe, Dr. Krishna Manda, Sean Cady, and Tamar Hoek said.
The coalition reported an impressive voter turnout of 62 per cent of eligible members. By category, 68 per cent of the votes came from the affiliate category, 58 per cent from the brand/retailer category, and 66 per cent from the manufacturer category. The SAC confirmed that these figures ensured a quorum, in line with their bylaws, with more than a third of voting members taking part.
The SAC expressed its gratitude towards outgoing directors, Rudiger Fox and Jonas Eder-Hansen, for their service and valuable contributions to the coalition. Their dedication of time, talent, and expertise in support of the coalition was acknowledged.
