The Future Fabrics Expo in London will host a seminar series on sustainable solutions for the fashion and textile industry.
The event will run alongside the largest showcase of sustainably sourced fabrics and innovations.
The seminars feature figures such as Nicole Rycroft and Valerie Langer from Canopy, Sophia Kianni from Climate Cardinals, among others.
The seminar series will include Nicole Rycroft and Valerie Langer from Canopy, the trailblazing NGO transforming the viscose supply chain; Sophia Kianni, founder of Climate Cardinals, who is championing the translation of climate information as the youngest UN advisor ever; Shilpa Yarlagadda of Shiffon Co, who is leveraging her jewellery brand to increase women’s access to venture capital funding; and founder Luke Haverhals from Natural Fiber Welding, a vanguard in the field of plastic-free material solutions.
The series will also feature Cyrill Gutsch, founder and CEO of Parley for the Oceans; Amy Congdon from Biofabricate, leading experts in biomaterial education; Annabelle Hutter from Santis Textiles, who introduced the world’s first 100 per cent recycled cotton; Bianca Pitt from SHE Changes Climate, championing gender inclusion in climate decision-making; and Cyndi Rhoades, founder of Worn Again Technologies and co-founder of Circle-8 Technologies, where she focuses on sorting and processing non-reusable textiles.
The opening hours for the series are 12-6 pm on June 26 and 9-6 pm on June 27–28, 2023.
