BENGALURU:Kirloskar Systems (KSPL) has appointed Manasi Tata as director on the board of its joint venture companies, including Toyota Industries Engine India (TIEI), Kirloskar Toyota Textile Machinery, (KTTM), Toyota Material Handling India (TMHIN), and Denso Kirloskar Industries (DNKI).
Tata’s appointment as director comes after the passing of her father, Vikram S Kirloskar, who was the former chairman & managing director of KSPL. His wife, Geetanjali Kirloskar, has taken charge as the new CMD at KSPL.
Tata, a graduate from the Rhode Island School of Design in the US, is trained in Toyota manufacturing processes and the Japanese work culture. A fifth-generation scion of the Kirloskar empire, her NGO ‘Caring with Colour’ works with government schools in 3 districts of Karnataka.
