BENGALURU: Senior level exits continue at Wipro despite a slew of promotions earlier this year. Mohd Haque, SVP and head of healthcare and medical devices for the Americas, and Ashish Saxena, SVP, and head of the manufacturing and hi-tech business unit, have quit the firm.
Haque was a two-decade veteran at Wipro, and was managing 21,000 people responsible for P&L, sales, strategy, delivery, consulting, and account management. He also led the inclusion & diversity council for Wipro Americas.
Saxena, who led a $1-billion business unit, was responsible for the strategic roadmap of his segment, and driving revenue growth, profit margin, and customer satisfaction. Saxena is leaving after nearly six years with Wipro. Gurvinder Sahni, who was VP and strategic advisor, had quit in April, and joined Persistent Systems as chief marketing officer (CMO) soon after.
When TOI contacted Wipro about the exits, the company said, “Wipro can confirm that Mohd Haque will be leaving the company in June. Ashish Saxena and Gurvinder Sahni have left Wipro to pursue other opportunities. We thank them for their years of leadership and contribution.”
