Thanks for the response. Different executives are giving different replies. Some are saying it is “This is on our list of things to do”. Hope it get’s implemented by this month.

Sounds nice.
Some of the claims that Dhan’s marketing team puts out
reminds me of “The Fairsley Difference” comedy skit.
If there is a claim that is not realised we have an opportunity to experience a great customer support service in stock broking industry currently.
Flagging this post is not going to deteriorate the support at Dhan. Also it is not going to improve the support services at another broking house. This sort of flagging just puts a question over openness of this forum.

Dhan introduces fast keyboard shortcuts on web platform.
Dhan keyboard shortcuts are made keeping in mind that users need not touch the mouse and can navigate throughout the platform just by using a keyboard. The shortcut ranges from everything – simply searching a stock to also placing an order.
List of shortcuts for Windows machines:
- General Shortcuts
- Search a scrip: Just start typing the name of scrip
- Open Chart: Ctrl + C
- Open Full Screen Chart: Alt + C
- Open scrip on tv.dhan.co: Alt +T
- Open Company Page: Enter
- Buy Order Window: Ctrl + B
- Sell Order window: Ctrl + S
- Top Menu Navigation Shortcuts
- Home: Ctrl + Shift + H
- Markets: Alt + M
- Watchlist: Alt + W
- Portfolio: Alt + H
- Positions: Alt + P
- Orders: Alt + O
- Money/Funds: Alt + F
- Order Types Shortcuts
- Today’s Order: Alt + O
- Basket Order: Alt + B
- SIP Order: Alt + S
- Forever Order: Alt + G
- Draft Order: Alt + D
- Watchlist Navigation
- Navigate between watchlists: ← & →
- Navigate stocks in a watchlist: ↑ & ↓
All these shortcuts are available in mac OS also. Apart from these shortcuts, Dhan platforms support all tradingview shortcuts on the charts.
i was referring to some of the claims that Dhan’s marketing makes
implying they are the first to offer some feature or that other brokers don’t offer it,
whereas they might just be achieving feature-parity with existing brokers.
(or sometimes not even that)
Good that Dhan offers something new and useful.
Bad when they imply others brokers don’t.
(especially when other brokers already support).

Pls feel free to post if you find a claimed industry first feature by Dhan that is already available with some other broker in the country. I am always on the look out to rise above my ignorance.
@nithin if you are not planning to launch a desktop app, atleast try to add more shortcuts for the kite web
like
- buy order F1
- sell order F2
- modify order shift+P
- Square off at market price – ctrl+esc
- order page – F3
- trade page – F8
- margin check – ctrl+shift+v
I personally take more than 60 seconds to navigate to the positions page, place the order & then modify the price. whereas with shortcuts the same can be achieved in 10sec or less

This needs some work. There are some bugs and data can be presented bit differently. There is noise regarding this on Dhan forum and as per Dhan team in a month we can have a new upgraded pnl report experience.

What about tradingview???
What % of users use ChartIQ wrt TV??? Can you pls let us know ??? I hope not even 10%. And still efforts are solely on this as your priority instead of TV which is well known for its best charting. A trading from charts is long pending since years but what is its current status is still not known even to you @nithin . This is the pace of improvements just for reference. Rest you can assume. Moved out now after 11 long yrs from Zerodha.
As far as I know Zerodha, if they update ChartsIQ and choose to ignore TradingView charts then you better believe that the majority of their users are using ChartsIQ only. Don’t just “hope” that its 10%. I’m sure you’ll be shocked to know the numbers.
