Yesterday, one of my holdings was showing in auction but somehow I forgot to place bid. In evening, I checked that in the auction, there was no seller and no trade take place in that scrip.
Will that scrip will again come in auction market today as I have missed an easy 20% profit opportunity.
We cannot say that in advance. Yesterday, if there were no sellers, then short delivery would have been cash-settled.
Exchange publishes the file between 12pm to 2pm. You can check that here.
Hi @Mihir_Yadav ,
Well, why can’t you?
You already send email alerts in the following cases –
- When there is a margin call.
- When there is a short delivery.
- When you have a stock that moves into ASM.
- When there are splits / mergers affecting your holdings.
- When there is a CC move that affects your collateral drastically.
etc.
Why not send an email to a client when they have a holding/pledge that is in today’s auction list? All the above are risk averse measures. This can be one of the first project to take up that can actually benefit your clients substantially.
I think it is a worthy cause in the interest of your customers and worth pondering upon – a simple email when your clients have an opportunity to participate in auction market. This will increase auction market participation and depth with potential for clients to make 20% profit. It’s a win-win.

On a second thought (if this is going to generate too many alerts), a better way of implementation can be to give the client an option to subscribe for such alerts via the segments enable/disable section in console. So if a user is subscribing and interested in auction market – he/she will get email alerts.
