Why would we expect anything less from one of the world’s wealthiest couples? According to a TMZ report, tech titan Jeff Bezos and fiancée Lauren Sánchez have been dropping $600,000 a month since March to rent Kenny G’s massive Malibu estate while their $165 million Beverly Hills “fixer upper” (which is none other than the legendary Jack Warner estate) gets a total overhaul.
Kenny G (last name Gorelick), one of the world’s most prominent contemporary saxophonists, bought the home in 1998. He scooped up the 5,500-square-foot main house, which sits on a promontory, for $12.5 million and purchased a smaller adjacent house for $3 million around the year 2000. In addition, Dirt reports that the two-and-a-half-acre compound includes a two-bedroom, four-bathroom, 3,500-square-foot guest house with a tennis court and outdoor space for entertaining; a 1,500-square-foot recording studio; a structure with office space and a screening room; a pool; and a second two-story guest house built into the side of the cliff, along the way down to the private Little Dume Beach.
In February of 2020, Bezos smashed real estate records with the purchase of the Warner estate, which previously belonged to music mogul David Geffen. Built in 1928, the 10-acre estate comprises a 13,600-square-foot Georgian-style main house, along with two guest houses, a nursery and three hothouses, a tennis court, a swimming pool, expansive terraces, a nine-hole golf course, and a service garage and gas pumps in the motor court. By July of 2020, Bezos had bought the 4,615-square-foot, three-bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom house next door, for $10 million. With Bezos currently making massive changes to the compound, we’re not sure if any of those fancy features or even the second house will survive, but given the billionaire’s penchant for grandeur (and, let’s face it, his enormous bank account), we can only assume that the “upgrades” will be just as monumental.

Sánchez and Bezos, who got engaged just over a week ago, have been spending time sailing around the Mediterranean on the Amazon founder’s newly-built $500 million superyacht named Koru. On the bow is a wooden figurehead that became the subject of some tabloid fodder for its purported resemblance to Sánchez.
