Fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger has made a name for himself as something of a real estate tycoon in recent years, applying his sophisticated eye for design to dreamy homes in Aspen, Connecticut, and New York. His latest venture, a Mediterranean-style mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, just sold for a whopping $41.38 million after less than six months of ownership, Mansion Global reports. Hilfiger paid $36.85 million for the 1927-built home in January and listed it with a $47.95 million price tag less than three weeks later.
“Beautiful interior renovations are now complete,” the listing details, though it’s unclear how heavy a hand Hilfiger had in the waterfront estate’s current form, considering his short stint as its owner. The 7,265-square-foot dwelling holds four bedrooms and six baths in its main structure, plus an additional bedroom, bathroom, and living room in a pool house that doubles as a guest cottage. The sprawling eat-in kitchen offers a huge wooden island, whitewashed cabinetry, marble counters, and sliding door access to the pool. There’s also a formal dining room with exposed beams and a fireplace, a wine cellar, and private beach access.

A spacious great room just beyond the entry foyer features honey-hued wood paneling, a marble fireplace, arched windows, and french doors that lead out to a poolside loggia. Nearby, a sitting room boasts a wet bar and ocean views.
Eye-catching architectural details abound inside, including scrolling wrought iron and painted coffered ceilings reminiscent of the ones in the Connecticut estate that Hilfiger and his wife Dee owned from 2010 to 2021 before offloading it for $45 million and making Florida their permanent residence. “We’re here for the weather, the Latin flavor, the art, and the palm trees. Most of all we’re here for the fun,” Hilfiger told AD during a 2014 tour of his then-recently purchased Miami home, which he went on to sell for $24 million in 2021. Since then, the couple has continued to snatch up (and sell) properties in The Sunshine State.
