Srinagar: In a commending incident, a team of Doctors at a hospital in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district kept their nerve to deliver a baby through the lower-segment cesarean section while an earthquake shook the Valley on Tuesday.
The tweet included a video that showed how the staff focused on the job while everything around them was shaking.
An earthquake of 6.6 magnitudes struck the Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan, shaking the Valley so violently that residents in many areas rushed out of their homes in search of safety.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Project on Pain and Palliative Care had been launched at the Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar with a focus on capacity building to reduce the suffering of patients with chronic debilitating conditions. The project was launched in collaboration with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi with nine other premier medical institutions of north India, Medical Superintendent, Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar.
