Rising numbers of cases of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and a slowdown in the decline of new cases of HIV and viral hepatitis risks jeopardising 2030 global health targets including sustainable development goals, the World Health Organization has warned.1
In a report published on 21 May WHO warned that the global response is currently “off track” to meet 2025 and 2030 targets for reducing new infections related to HIV, viral hepatitis, and STIs, which are causing 2.5 million deaths each year.
