Munawar Faruqui shared his reaction to Elvish Yadav getting bail in the snake venom case. The YouTuber, who had won Bigg Boss OTT 2, was granted bail after he was taken into custody on March 17, Sunday. Following his bail, Munawar spoke with a group of paparazzi when he was asked about his thoughts on Elvish’s bail. The comedian said he could understand his feelings and was glad that he got a bail.
“I know how it feels. Good news hai (it’s good news). So I’m happy (for Elvish),” Munawar said. The comedian has been arrested in the past as well. In 2021, he spent over a month in the Indore central jail. He was arrested for allegedly hurting religious sentiments during a comedy show. The comedian was granted bail days a month after his arrest.
Meanwhile, Elvish Yadav was granted bail, on a 50,000 bail bond. Due to the lawyers’ strike, the hearing regarding his bail could not take place on Thursday and was instead pushed to Friday. The court eventually deliberated and provided relief to Elvish before Holi.
Elvish Yadav’s lawyer Prashant Rathi told the media, “Our arguments in this case was that he was falsely accused and no substance was obtained from him or his friends that violated the NDPS act. The court has granted bail to him (Elvish Yadav) as well as his two friends on two sureties of Rs 50,000 each…”
Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner and YouTuber Elvish Yadav was arrested by Noida Police in a snake poisoning case. The case was lodged under provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 and for criminal conspiracy under section 120B of the Indian Penal Code, they said. A day after his arrest, NDTV claimed Elvish had admitted to his crimes. However, no official statement was release.
