Elite Landscapes has completed works on Linear Park, One Thames City in Nine Elms, London’s newest 12-building skyline encompassing a multifaceted green space.
The £5.5m Linear Park project comprises a combination of soft and hard landscaping, with key features including specimen trees and a focal water feature consisting of aquatic planting to support urban centric biodiversity.
Soft landscaping included several species of multi height trees, positioned to encapsulate designated areas of the park and create separate green spaces throughout. The trees are considered to be among the largest trees delivered into London in recent years, weighing approximately 15t.
Cutting the length of the space, the water feature includes two bridges, creating access into the tree lines and planted areas, and a large, cropped granite copings to the south.
The build involved up to 60 people on site at any one time, working from the centre of the site outwards, taking six months to complete.
The wider One Thames City project comprises work from internationally property developer, R&F Properties UK, and award-winning landscape architecture and urban design practices Camlins and Gillespies.
