Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell’s hit romantic comedy ‘Anyone but You’ is set to hit Netflix screens soon.
Having initially premiered just before Christmas and currently available on video-on-demand platforms, ‘Anyone but You’ will make its Netflix debut on 23rd April, as announced by the streaming giant.
Despite being released in December 2023, the Sony film has enjoyed remarkable success at the box office, raking in over $200 million worldwide from a modest $25 million budget. Its popularity led to a Valentine’s Day re-release in 2024, featuring additional scenes.

In the film, Sweeney and Powell portray Bea and Ben, whose chance encounter takes a hilarious turn after a disastrous first date. However, fate brings them together again at a friend’s wedding in Australia. In a bid to make their exes envious, Bea and Ben, despite secretly disliking each other, decide to pretend to be deeply in love during the wedding festivities. True to the rom-com formula, their fake relationship gradually blossoms into genuine affection.
Sweeney recently discussed the unexpected triumph of ‘Anyone but You’ while speaking to Variety at SXSW about her forthcoming horror film ‘Immaculate,’ where she serves as an executive producer and lead actor.
“It gives me goosebumps just talking about it. We are all incredibly grateful and thrilled by the overwhelming love it has received,” she remarked. “Witnessing audiences disconnect from the outside world and experience the array of emotions we intended while creating it, and then leaving the cinema with a song in their hearts, dancing, and yearning for love — that’s the essence of the moviegoing experience.”
