The ‘Princess of Pop’, Britney Spears, has been through a lot. She has been in the limelight since she was a teenager. It was due to her that ‘Teen Pop’ made a comeback in the 1990’s and 2000’s. Her first two albums remain one of the best-selling albums of all time and also made her the best-selling teenage artist of all time.
After many professional highs, Britney’s life took a turn for the worse. She was in the news for all the wrong reasons, following highly publicized personal problems. She was then involuntarily placed under a conservatorship, which controlled her every move, whether personal, professional or financial. It was only recently that the conservatorship was lifted following an uproar by Britney’s fans on social media.
It was during this time, that Britney grew apart from her family members, including her sister, Jamie Lyn Spears. She blamed Jamie for not only choosing to stay quiet about her poor treatment during the time their father was her conservator, but also for benefitting from the conservatorship. The sisters often make quips at each other on social media.
It came as a surprise when Britney recently seemed to have made amends with Jamie, as she captioned her post, “It’s my b-day but you’re my heart so I’m thinking about you, Congratulations on being so brave, inspiring and showing guts and glory in your show !!! You ain’t alone … if anybody knows what that feels like … I get it. My baby sister !!! I love you !!!”
The caption seems to be a reference to Jamie’s latest stint, celebrity reality competition series ‘Special Forces: The Ultimate Test’, which contains the same challenges used in the military’s special forces selection process.
