Ice Spice, Victoria Monét, and Fred Again.. are among the nominees for Best New Artist at the 2024 Grammy Awards. They’re nominated alongside Jelly Roll, Noah Kahan, Coco Jones, Gracie Abrams, and the War and Treaty. Find the full list of 2024 Grammy nominations here.
It’s a big year at the Grammys for Monét, whose single “On My Mama” is nominated for Record of the Year. She also received nominations for Best R&B Album (Jaguar II), Best R&B Song (“On My Mama”), Best R&B Performance (“How Does It Make You Feel”), and Best Traditional R&B Performance (“Hollywood”).
Ice Spice, meanwhile, has been recognized for two different collaborations: Her Barbie soundtrack contribution with Nicki Minaj “Barbie World” (Best Rap Song, Best Song Written for Visual Media) and her Taylor Swift team-up “Karma” (Best Pop Duo/Group Performance).
Fred Again.. has two songs up for Best Dance/Electronic Recording: His Romy collaboration “Strong” and the Skrillex and Flowdan featuring track “Rumble.” His album Actual Life 3 (January 1 – September 9 2022) is nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album.
Jones also has multiple nominations this year, including Best R&B Performance (“ICU”), Best R&B Album (What I Didn’t Tell You), and Best Traditional R&B Performance (“Simple” with Babyface). Jelly Roll’s other nomination is for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, while the War and Treaty are up for Best American Roots Song. Kahan and Abrams have no other nominations this year.
Last year, Samara Joy won Best New Artist. Previous winners include Olivia Rodrigo, Megan Thee Stallion, Billie Eilish, and Dua Lipa.
