Iggy Azalea surprised her fans on Twitter by confirming that a new album is on its way. When a fan asked her about new music, she quote-tweeted the question and wrote, “Music?… Summer. Scandalous Sh-?… Friday.” The cryptic tweet has left multiple fans waiting on the edge of their seats for her return to music.
She announced her grand return a while back. This is also when she called out her followers for being “negative AND nosey. So if I can’t have peace, neither can you. I’m coming back. Cry about it.”
Iggy Azalea did not mention anything else, neither about the music nor the scandal that will be revealed on Friday. However, this will be her first new release after her 2021 single ‘Knock Yourself Out’, which featured Sophia Scott and Renee Blair. Apart from the single, she also released a full length album in 2021, ‘The End of an Era’. The album included hit songs like ‘Sip It’ with Tyga, ‘Brazil’, ‘Iam the Stripclub’, ‘Is That Right’, ‘Day 3 in Miami (End of an Era)’ and ‘N.Y.E.’
Azalea has been in the news recently for having sold her back catalog to Domain Capital for a reported eight figure deal. This deal includes her masters and publishing shares on all her past hits. This includes songs like ‘Fancy’ with Charlie XCX, ‘Black Widow’ with Rita Ora, and ‘Problem’ with Ariana Grande among many others.
