Mario Piperno, the renowned Italian DJ and producer known as Mario Più, has remained a prominent figure in the dance music scene, constantly experimenting with various sounds and genres, but he never strays too far from the allure of nice melodies whether we talk about trance, techno or house music.
Meanwhile, Sergio Marini aka Sygma, also from Italy, has established himself as a respected industry veteran and resident of the Zoomer Records. After achieving great success with their official reworks of Mario’s classic tracks, including “Serendipity” and “Dedicated”, these two gifted individuals have teamed up once again. Their latest creation is a massive techno/peak time product called “Vector”.
Reflecting on the creative process behind this project, Mario Piu stated, “After collaborating with Sergio on some of my old tracks we decided to create something entirely new and unreleased. We wanted to produce resonances and versions more suitable for a techno dancefloor incorporating some of the current sounds played at the disco!”
Sergio has noticed a recent shift in the techno scene towards more groove and acid sounds, with less emphasis on kick. He believes this could be attributed to the resurgence of the electro house sound that was popular 15 years ago. In response, he and his team sought to combine techno and obsessive synths with a hint of electro house flavor to create something new and exciting.
An imprint of the Black Hole Recordings family, Zoomer Records emerged in The Netherlands a few years ago. It has become a sanctuary for up-and-coming talent and established artists alike, and its latest project, “Vector”, is quickly gaining momentum as a hidden gem. This dynamic and slightly gritty peak time groove is set to make waves on any dancefloor it graces. It is currently available for streaming and purchase on all major platforms
This year, trance enthusiasts can also witness Mario’s performance at one of the Netherlands’ most prominent venues, Luminosity Festival.
