My Bloody Valentine’s Kevin Shields has teamed with Fender for a new signature guitar pedal. It’s called the Fender Shields Blender, and it’s available to order now via Reverb. It features two footswitch channels, blendable fuzz, a reactive sag circuit, and more. Find images of the new pedal below.
“I really enjoyed the experience,” Shields said in a statement. “I’ve been using it a lot recently in the studio, it’s been great. I’m looking forward to hearing how other people use it. It’s kind of pretty extreme but also very interesting when it’s set up in a subtle way.”
In 2021, My Bloody Valentine signed to Domino, where they reissued multiple records on vinyl and added music including their most recent album, 2013’s m b v, to streaming services. At the time the partnership was announced, Shields revealed that he was working on two new My Bloody Valentine albums.
