Hulu has announced the streaming date for the Oscar-nominated film ‘Poor Things,’ directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and featuring an ensemble cast led by Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, and Willem Dafoe. The movie, nominated for 11 Academy Awards, including ‘Best Picture,” Lead Actress’ and ‘Director,’ is set to premiere on Hulu on 7th March.
The film follows a Frankenstein-esque narrative, telling the fantastical story of Bella Baxter, portrayed by Emma Stone, who is brought back to life by the unconventional scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter, played by Willem Dafoe. Under Dr. Baxter’s guidance, Bella embarks on a journey of learning and enlightenment.

Mark Ruffalo has earned a Best Supporting Actor nomination, and Tony McNamara is up for Adapted Screenplay. The film also competes in categories like Original Score, Production Design, Cinematography, Makeup and Hairstyling, Costume Design, and Film Editing.
Emma Stone is a strong contender for the Best Lead Actress category, although she faces tough competition from Lily Gladstone of ‘Killers of the Flower Moon.’ The race is anticipated to be closely watched at the Academy Awards scheduled for 10th March.
‘Poor Things’ has already claimed the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, and Emma Stone received the trophy for Actress in a Musical or Comedy. Don’t miss the opportunity to stream ‘Poor Things’ on Hulu, starting 7th March.
