NEW DELHI: Congress on Saturday expelled its Uttar Pradesh leader Pramod Krishnam for anti party activities.
Krishnam, who is from a religious background, has been criticising Congress over its stand on Ayodhya, and had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently.
The decision to act against him was based on a recommendation of the UP Congress unit. Krishnam joined Congress a few years ago, and became close to Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s team in UP. He also contested an election on Congress ticket.
