According to the predictions, the ruling K Chandrashekar Rao-led BRS will not be able to secure a third straight term in the state, with its seat share reducing to just 39.
The BJP and AIMIM will clinch six seats apiece, the exit poll has predicted.

The Axis My India predictions are in line with most other exit polls, which have given a clear majority to the grand old party in Telangana.
For Telangana, while India TV-CNX forecast 63-79 seats for the Congress, 31-47 for the BRS, 2-4 for the BJP and 5-7 for the AIMIM, Jan Ki Baat forecast that the Congress would get 48-64 seats, the BRS would get 40-55, BJP 7-13 and AIMIM 4-7.
Republic TV-Matrize predicted that in Telangana, the Congress would get 58-68 seats, BRS 46-56, BJP 4-9 and AIMIM 5-9. TV9 Bharatvarsh Polstrat stated that the Congress would get 49-59 seats and the BRS would get 48-58.
Today’s Chanakya has forecast 71 seats for Congress, 33 for BRS and 7 for BJP.
If the predictions do hold true, it will be a huge shot in the arm for Congress after its victory in Karnataka in May this year.
Meanwhile, the BRS has rubbished the exit poll predictions and asserted that it will win 70 seats in the state.
In 2018, the KCR-led party had stormed to power after winning 88 seats in Telangana.
Elections to the five states took place between November 7-November 30 and the counting of votes would take place on December 3.
