Delhi Police arrested two accused who had murdered a man identified as NIkhil Sharma on July 3. The accused committed the crime after an argument broke up between them and the victim near a liquor shop in Delhi’s Samaspur area.

Delhi Police arrested two men accused who had reportedly murdered a man at a liquor shop in Delhi’s Samaspur on Sunday, July 3. The accused were identified as Piyush and Deepanshu, both residents of Pandav Nagar in Delhi.
On July 3, Nikhil Sharma, a resident of Patparganj, was brought to LBS hospital by his friend. Upon noticing that the man had died after getting assaulted at Patparganj, the hospital informed the police.
Upon talking to the victim’s friend, police officials discovered that Nikhil and his friend had gone to get liquor at a shop in Samaspur. They allegedly got into an altercation with the accused, which further resulted in a scuffle and the accused inflicted sharp injuries on Nikhil and escaped from the spot.
ACCUSED’S ESCAPE ROUTE TRACED ON CCTV
The police team investigating the case focused on CCTV footage in the surrounding area. The team was successful in getting an image of the accused. Photographs of the wanted accused from different angles were obtained, and officials were able to trace the accused from the place of incident towards the escape route.
All the CCTV cameras along the accused’s escape route were analysed. The team began combing the area and also made door-to-door searches of the place where the accused had disappeared, which was near the bylanes of Ganesh Nagar Complex.
The operation remained successful and both the accused persons were apprehended. Upon interrogation, it was discovered that the two accused were relatives. They admitted to their crime and were arrested.
