Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the strictest punishment would be meted out to the accused who ran over a deputy superintendent of police in Nuh district.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar condemned the killing of a deputy superintendent of police in Nuh district and said the culprits will not be spared. Surendra Singh, a DSP rank officer, was killed while probing illegal mining in Nuh district.
Calling the incident “tragic”, CM Manohar Lal Khattar said that steps will be taken to rein in the mining mafia in Haryana.
“The culprits will not be spared. We will take strict action,” CM Manohar Lal Khattar said.
The Haryana CM also announced assistance of Rs 1 crore and a government job for the family of the deceased DSP.
Moreover, the Haryana CM said to tackle the menace of illegal mining, an outpost will be built near the mining area, and the destination of mining goods and vehicles will be fixed. Posts will also be set up at the inter-state border, Manohar Lal Khattar said.
Tauru DSP Surendra Singh was investigating illegal stone-mining when a dumper-truck he signalled to stop in Haryana’s Nuh district drove into him.
Talking about the incident, Manohar Lal Khattar said that the dumper has been identified and the owner of the said dumper is reportedly hiding in the nearby area.
The police have been directed to nab the accused at the earliest, CM Manohar Lal Khattar said.
