NEW DELHI: Eight workers, including five women, were killed in a blaze at a fireworks manufacturing unit in Tamil Nadu’s Sivakasi on Thursday.
Several people, who were hurt in the incident, have been taken to a government hospital.

According to a senior police official, one of the injured individuals is in a critical condition.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
The manufacturing unit, located in Sengamalapatti near Sivakasi in Virudhunagar district, employed approximately 10 workers at the time of the incident, which took place in the afternoon.
