MUMBAI: The Anti Narcotics Cell of the crime branch, during various operations, arrested seven drug peddlers and seized three types of drugs. In its operations, the police confiscated 5.735 kg of MD (Mephedrone) worth Rs. 11.46 crore from Santacruz and the Versova (Andheri) area, along with cash amounting to Rs. 3.50 lakh.
Additionally, 500 grams of Heroin worth Rs.two crore were seized from Kurla and Bandra. Furthermore, three kg of charas worth Rs. 1.2 crore was confiscated from Dahisar check naka area. The total value of the seized drugs is Rs. 15 crore, as reported by the police.
In 2024, the ANC seized 15.95 kg of narcotic substances valued at more than Rs. 20.18 crore, and 27 key drug peddlers were arrested in various cases.
