The public relations officer of the Indian Army, Jammu informed that Kent was at the forefront of ‘Operation Sujaligala,’ leading a group of soldiers in pursuit of fleeing terrorists when they came under intense gunfire. Tragically, she succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Additional Director General of Police, Mukesh Singh, said one terrorist and an army jawan were killed in the encounter that broke out in the Narllah area of the Rajouri district in the Jammu region.
Three more jawans, including a Special Police Officer (SPO), were also injured in the exchange of fire.
Just last week, the Indian Army, in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Police, successfully eliminated a terrorist in a joint operation conducted in the Reasi district. Additionally, the search following this encounter uncovered war-like equipment, including an AK series assault rifle with magazines.
Furthermore, it’s worth noting that on September 3, the Indian Army successfully defused an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in the same region, further underscoring their dedication to maintaining peace and security in the area.
