AMRITSAR: Border Security Force (BSF) on Sunday repatriated a septuagenarian Pakistani national, Hakim Ali, who had inadvertently entered India.
A BSF spokesperson said that the 75-year-old resident of Kasur, Pakistan, had crossed over to Bhakhara village in Ferozpur sector of Indian Punjab.
He was apprehended by the BSF troops and upon investigation it was found that Ali had inadvertently entered India. Besides the BSF didn’t find anything objectionable in his possession.
The spokesperson said that the BSF approached their Pakistani counterparts and lodged a protest before handing him over to them as a goodwill gesture.
