PATNA: Amid an alleged question paper leak, Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) on Wednesday cancelled the Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE-3.0), affecting over 5 lakh candidates appearing for 87,774 teacher posts, reports Kshitiz. “The new exam date will be announced lateron the official website of the commission,” BPSC said.
The commission had sought ‘standard evidence’ and inquired on certain points from the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) over the allegations, the release stated. In response, however, the EOU informed that “during the investigation, any information and sealed electronic devices cannot be shared with any office or organisation as per the rules”.
Meanwhile, several aspirants who appeared for the third phase of the TRE are in a fix over BPSC’s decision. “It has wasted the time that we invested in the preparations for TRE-3.0. EOU should also probe the first two phases of teachers’ recruitment examinations,” said Rajesh Choubey, an aspirant.
