The march, joined by the great grandson of Mahatama Gandhi, Tushar Gandhi, will culminate at August Kranti Maidan, the historic site where the Quit India movement began in 1942.
INDIA bloc members have also joined the yatra.
Highlighting the role of Congress in India’s development, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut said, “If there was no Congress the country would not have got independence, the country would not have got leadership & we would not have made progress in science and technology.”
“There are a lot of such things which the BJP will never understand because they do not think for the country. They only think about the businessmen,” he added.
On Saturday, the Congress MP concluded his 63-day-long ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ by paying respects to Dr B R Ambedkar at his memorial ‘Chaityabhoomi’ in central Mumbai and reading the Constitution’s preamble.
