Three men were killed, and two others were injured, in an attack by a wild bear in Odisha’s Nuapada district on Saturday. The angry villagers also killed the wild animal.
The two injured persons are being treated at the district hospital. The identity of three deceased is yet to be ascertained.
According to sources, three men from the village had gone to the fields to carry out their work, but when they did not return till evening the villagers started a search operation to find them.
Two members of the search party were also attacked by the wild animal. Following this, the angry villagers got together and beat the animal to death.
