NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh governemnt has appointed advocate Apoorva Agrawal as Additional Advocate General to represent and defend the state in the Supreme Court.
Advocate Apoorva Agrawal has been practising as a lawyer for over 15 years and appeared in various cases in Supreme Court and various High Courts. An alumni of Lucknow University, Agrawal got enrolled as a lawyer in the year 2007.He started his practice in Allahabad High Court under the guidance of senioradvocate Ravi Kant.
In Allahabad HC he represented and defended Centre, state governement and corporate houses and senior bureaucrats in various cases.
A year after practising in Allahabad HC, he shifted base to Delhi and started practising in Supreme Court and Delhi High Court and worked in collaboration with top lawyers of the country including former attorney general K K Venugopal, Mukul Rohatgi.
