In a significant milestone, more than 20 villages situated in the remote Pirpanjal areas are now linked by road for the first time since independence. The recently constructed 32 km road, spans from Rajouri-Poonch Highway to the Link Road Patrara via Gambir Mughlan to Shah Dhara Sharif. The road establishes a vital shortcut between the Tehsils of Manjakote and Thanna Mandi. The Department of Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA) of Jammu and Kashmir has played a pivotal role in this transformative project, with 27 km of road blacktopping already completed. The road not only facilitates smoother travel for religious pilgrimages but also initiates the start of small businesses in the once-isolated regions.
